Juan Carlos Hernandez Barraza. is a bilingual and bicultural Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Addiction Counselor Candidate.

Juan grew up in Eagle County and graduated from Vail Mountain School and, as a result, feels deeply connected to the Eagle County community.

Juan's approach to therapy is collaborative and focused on building connections of trust and empathy and honoring our humanity. His areas of focus are identity development, working with diverse and underserved communities, working with Spanish-speaking populations, working with LGBTQ+ populations, trauma, grief and loss, substance use, anxiety, and depression. He utilizes narrative, cognitive behavioral, motivational interviewing, and existential approaches.
