About Eva Kolb

Professional Statement

Eva grew up in Spain with her parents and two older sisters, then after high school she moved to New York and attended Manhattan College in the Bronx where she studied international business management and marketing.  After graduating from college, she worked full time while attending St. John’s Law School at night, then practiced law for six years before she found her true passion while volunteering at an inpatient psychiatric hospital.  She then continued her studies in the evenings and obtained a post-bac in pre-med while prosecuting financial crimes in the daytime, and finally left the law to attend medical school at NYIT.  Eva completed her general psychiatry residency at the Zucker Hillside hospital, where she served as chief resident during her last year, and then completed a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the New York Presbyterian Cornell/Columbia program in New York City.  During the past seven years Eva has practiced psychiatry in multiple settings including Emergency Room, CL, and outpatient community mental health, academic, and private practices both in person and via telehealth.  She has taught and mentored medical students and residents, has supervised psychiatric providers, and has collaborated with pediatricians and primary care providers in her community, always passionate about helping kids, teens, and their families attain mental health.  Eva, her husband, and their twin sons moved to Colorado Springs six years ago to be closer to Eva’s sister and their family.  Eva loves spending time in her garden, traveling the world, cooking Spanish food with her sister, and hiking with her family and their dog.
